NEW YORK - September 8 2022Record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. The country welcomed 78,000 Americans during July 2022. It was a 4 percent increase over 2019 seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was thrilling to witness an increase in tourism to Israel coming from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019, he added. "The United States has been our most important destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, we had been celebrating record-breaking number of Israeli tourism entries every month.

Canada with 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 in August, isn't too much from the United States.

Gal Hana is the Consul and Director for Canada in the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We are getting close to our record numbers for 2019 and we expect that this surge in tourism to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more at home when they travel abroad.

Israel welcomed over 4.6 million tourists in 2019. 969,600 were of the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
